2025 First State Community Bank Christmas Parade
The Park Hills - Leadington Chamber of Commerce is thrilled to announce the First State Community Bank Christmas Parade, set to take place on Saturday, December 13, 2025.
Date and Time: Saturday, December 13, 2025
- 3:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. - Photos with Santa at No. 9 Coffee Co.
- 4:00 p.m. - Musical Presentation by the Rebel Clef Honor Choir from West Elementary (Grades 4-5) at Leadington Plaza (Near No. 9 Coffee)
- 4:30 p.m. - Leadington Tree Lighting
- 5:00 p.m. - Musical Presentation by the Central Elementary Honors Choir (Grades K-2) at the Downtown Stage in Park Hills
- 6:00 p.m. - Parade line-up (All entries must be in place)
- 6:30 p.m. - Parade begins
- 7:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. - Photos with Santa resume on the Patio at Four Towns Brewing Company
Theme: "Christmas Movies"
This year, we’re bringing the magic of the big screen to Main Street! Floats should be decorated to celebrate beloved holiday films—from timeless classics like It’s a Wonderful Life and A Christmas Story to modern favorites like Elf, The Polar Express, or The Grinch.
Participants are encouraged to:
- Recreate iconic scenes or characters from their chosen movie.
- Use props, lights, costumes, and music or soundtracks to bring the story to life.
- Incorporate holiday colors, festive decorations, and creative details that make your float instantly recognizable as your chosen Christmas film.
- Add people in costume or themed attire to make your float interactive and full of cheer!
Route
The parade will follow the traditional Homecoming Parade Route, starting at St. Francois Avenue, proceeding to West Main Street, then to Rinke Street, and concluding at the High School via Stone Street. Participants will line up along Westwind and Davis Court.
Special Attractions
Santa Claus will be available for photos and visits with children before and after the parade. Before he is at Leadington Plaza, and after, you'll find him on the patio next to Four Towns Brewing Co.
Participation and Prizes
There is no entry fee to participate in the parade. Float prizes include:
- First Place: $200 cash, a collectible snow globe (valued at $150).
- Second Place: $150 cash
- Third Place: $100 cash
Winners will be announced to the media immediately following the parade, with prizes awarded on Monday, December 15, 2025.
