Please plan to arrive early so that we may begin the meeting a little early, in an effort to conclude as close to 1:00 p.m. as possible.

Situational Awareness and Rapid Decision-Making for the Professional: Presented by Show Me Liberty

Introduction

The mindset of any professional directly affects the potential to experience a threat to life or well-being. A positive mental attitude is essential to succeed in life and business. However, a sober realization that "it could happen NOW," is necessary to protect that positive state and preserve focus on goals and tasks.

We present a methodology for being aware without becoming paranoid or....just plain weird.

Left of Bang

Situational Awareness training often adopts the language developed in the book Left of Bang, developed by the Marine Corps Hunter Program to protect deployed Marines from ambush.

Staying Left of Bang means recognizing anomalies in one's environment and taking decisive action to escape or avoid a potential threat.

Rather than become hyper-vigilant, profiling every person and watching every nook and cranny, a person learns to understand a general baseline for normal, and instinctively pick up on clusters of anomalies that may indicate a potential threat.

The individual then mentally works through a short list of options (avoid, contact, or fight, for example) and immediately takes appropriate action.

About Show Me Liberty:

Andre and Angela Ong established Show Me Liberty, a non-profit ministry in the state of Missouri, to train and equip others with spiritual and physical preparedness.

We (Andre and Angela) served together as biblical counselors while planting The Bridge Community Church in Leadington, MO. We then went on to serve in military ministry together while Andre served as an Army National Guard Chaplain. We have taught many classes and trained others for ministry over the years.

Today, we are certified by the NRA to instruct pistol, rifle, shotgun, and range safety skills. Angela also leads the Parkland chapter of A Girl and a Gun, a shooting league for women.

We continue to study and develop our own capabilities regularly as disciples, protectors, and instructors.

We bring together our counseling background, military ministry, and our role as firearms instructors. We consider that a unique background for these times.

Lunch must be purchased in advance.
Reservations are REQUIRED BY NOON FRIDAY BEFORE MEETING
For catering purposes, NO LATE LUNCH RESERVATIONS will be accepted.
Investors may request to be invoiced, however, payment will still be expected for any invoiced reservations that are not canceled by FRIDAY, BEFORE MEETING.
Payment is expected AT REGISTRATION TIME for all NON-Chamber Investors.

If your schedule changes last minute and you are unable to attend, we encourage you to send a guest to attend in your absence. A reservation count, including yours, is sent to the caterer at 12 NOON the Friday before the event, therefore, payment is required.

Monthly investor meetings provide Chamber investors with a variety of information through guest speakers. Topics range from small business information to governmental issues and assistance to community interests. Monthly meetings keep investors abreast of current chamber happenings and provide an excellent networking opportunity.
