MAC Concert Band and MAFAA Jr. Concert Band Spring Performance

Park Hills, MO, April 29, 2024 - The Mineral Area Fine Arts Academy (MAFAA) is thrilled to present a captivating concert featuring the MAC Concert Band and the MAFAA Junior Concert Band on May 7th at 7 PM in the Mineral Area College Fine Arts Theater.

The evening will begin with a performance by the MAFAA Junior Concert Band, under the direction of Mrs. Linda Huck. The young musicians will treat the audience to a diverse repertoire, including selections from the beloved musical "Les Misérables" and the lively "Mambo Perro Loco," which will showcase the talented accordion players. The program will also feature the rousing "The Big Cage," a classic circus march.

Following the Junior Concert Band, the MAC Concert Band will take the stage, continuing the evening's musical journey. Comprised of college students, high school students, and community members, this ensemble will deliver a dynamic and engaging performance.

"We are excited to showcase the incredible talent of our young musicians and the vibrant community band," said MAFAA Executive Director Amanda Dement. "This concert promises to be a truly memorable experience for all in attendance."

Admission to the event is $4 for those ages 13 and up, while children 12 and under, as well as those with a MAC ID, can attend for free.
