Hello friends and neighbors! The St. Francois County Rotary Club is thrilled to support an important community initiative hosted by Addiction is Real, Inc.: a "Hidden In Plain View" (HIPV) Presenter Training session. We warmly invite community members dedicated to protecting our youth to join us and become certified presenters for this truly impactful program.
The Hidden In Plain View program features an interactive trailer cleverly designed to look just like a teenager's bedroom. It's a unique tool that helps adults spot potential hiding places for drugs or paraphernalia they might otherwise completely overlook. The goal is simple but absolutely vital: stop the silence, start the conversation, and potentially save a life by educating parents and guardians. Remember, statistics show that kids who learn about the dangers of drugs from their parents are significantly less likely to use them, which really highlights the importance of this kind of education.
This training event is your chance to get involved directly and make a real difference!

Becoming a trained presenter empowers you to educate others right here in our community, helping them recognize both risk factors ("red flags") and protective factors ("green flags") related to youth substance abuse. This effort aligns perfectly with the mission of Addiction is Real, Inc. to provide vital education, connect individuals with needed resources, and spread community awareness about youth substance abuse and suicide prevention.
